Celebrating our Community
Christian Legal Aid of DC provides access to justice for low-income residents of Washington, DC and we could not do this without you!
We thank God for our generous community of volunteers and supporters, and for each of you joining our Virtual Fall Banquet.
Take a few minutes to read about our volunteers, sign the guest book, and be sure to join us October 23 as we recognize our volunteers of the year.
Volunteer attorneys and law students faithfully serve at legal aid clinics three times each month. They listen to clients, provide legal advice, and often pray with clients. Many of these volunteers continue serving beyond the clinic by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and representing clients through the duration of their case. Even as we had to transition from providing in-person legal aid to phone consultations, these volunteers adapted and continued to show up for the most vulnerable in our city.
By mobilizing and equipping a network of committed volunteers, CLADC is able to provide $3 of free legal services for every $1 we raise.
CLADC connects those most in need with the attorneys who can help, and we provide ongoing training and mentorship for our volunteers. When you invest in CLADC, you make sure that when these volunteers step up to serve, they're not doing it alone.
On October 23, we will celebrate the impact of these volunteers over the last year and honor three volunteers in particular for their service.

Just 24 Donor Captains
In May 2020, we held our annual 24-hour fundraiser: Just 24. This community rallied to ensure that the most vulnerable in Washington, DC had access to justice, and our 2020 Donor Captains led the way by mobilizing friends and family across the country to invest in our work. We were blown away by the generosity that was shown, and we thank God for our donor captains!
